Dierks Bentley, 9 albums, 17 No. 1 songs and branching beyond the music

Festivals, franchises and fashion brands, there’s nothing Dierks Bentley can’t do

September 24, 2018

With an illustrious career and no end in sight (thank goodness!) Dierks Bentley’s achievements just this year have been nothing short of breath-taking. He started 2018 with the release of a new single, “Woman, Amen.” The lead single off of his 9th studio album, “The Mountain,” the song would eventually become Dierks’ 17th career No. 1 hit. The album itself has achieved acclaim for the work as a whole; from the mixture of rock and folk elements, the dedicated use of acoustic instruments and lyrics that translate more as anthems, it is no wonder critics are calling it his best work yet. "To see people genuinely connecting with the music in the way they have is the ultimate reward…. I love that these songs are making good traveling companions.” - Dierks Bentley “The Mountain” is Dierks Bentley’s 7th No. 1 album debut and has had the highest debut sales of his career. With Bentley co-writing 10 of the album’s 13 total tracks, he is being commended for the admirable creativity presented in the work.

The album made noise from the get-go though, with Dierks taking a very personal and humorous approach with extensive use of social media. From releasing a phone number and FaceTiming fans to hilarious teaser videos, Dierks spent most of 2018 enticing fans to both his music and his new, larger music endeavor, Seven Peaks Music Festival. "We are bringing it all together with this festival. It’s our own ‘field of dreams,’ where we are putting everything we have into it, with no details overlooked, in hopes it is the ultimate festival experience.” - Dierks Bentley

Seven Peaks Music Festival was no small undertaking, with the event spanning 3-days, boasting multiple stages, an extensive star-studded line-up and campgrounds. Located in the mountains of Buena Vista, Colorado, the festival was designed to be a “destination experience.”

From fans to artists, the experience looked to be nothing short of a massive success. Dierks took the stage multiple times throughout the weekend, but arguably the most enticing aspect of the festival was Dierks’ personal relationship with the musical lineup itself. Friends and collaborators made up the bill of Seven Peaks Music Festival; Miranda Lambert and Brothers Osborne to Elle King, LANCO and even more, the music lineup was described as “comradery-filled.” Dierks Bentley also kicked off his 40-city, “Mountain High Tour” with Brothers Osborne and LANCO, and if Seven Peaks Music Festival was any indication, the talented tour has already been filled with hilarious shenanigans.

Bentley’s stamina to both perform and expand his activities is nothing short of incredible. He has headlined a tour every single year since 2014. First going out on his “Riser Tour,” in 2014, followed by his “Sounds of Summer Tour” in 2015, “Somewhere On A Beach Tour” in 2016, “What the Hell World Tour,” in 2017. You would think that releasing new music, a new album, starting a tour and launching a new festival would be enough for one year… but not for Dierks Bentley. He also opened another location of his restaurant franchise, Whiskey Row Nashville on Broadway and launched a fashion brand “Desert Son.”
